After last year’s great success, the musical homage to the Viennese poet Friederike Mayröcker (1924-2021) returns to the Festung stage in October 2025. The project, conceived by LanaLiteratur and the ensemble chromoson, focuses on excerpts from Mayröcker’s more than 120 books, which testify to a radical linguistic art, oscillating between joie de vivre and closeness to death. Compositions by Beat Furrer, Hannes Hölzl, Caroline Profanter, Reinhold Schinwald, Hannes Kerschbaumer and Marco Döttlinger resonate his poetic world in a musical key.
