Daniyah Guitar Duo was founded in 2022 by Alice Brandão and Maja Kralj during their master’s studies at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, Switzerland, under the mentorship of renowned guitarist Judicaël Perroy. What started as a shared academic experience soon developed into a strong artistic partnership, rooted in their shared passion for chamber music and musical exploration. Since its formation, Daniyah Guitar Duo has captivated audiences with a diverse repertoire that bridges classical tradition and modern influences. The duo has performed at leading venues and festivals across Europe and beyond, earning growing recognition for their musical precision, artistry, and versatility. Beyond the stage, Alice and Maja are enthusiastic educators who have conducted masterclasses and workshops across Europe and Brazil. They also collaborate closely with contemporary composers, premiering new works and arrangements for guitar duo. Their dedication to artistic growth and collaboration has been recognized through several awards at international competitions. In 2024, they became Knobloch Strings Artists, initiating a partnership with the brand. With an expanding repertoire and a commitment to musical storytelling, Daniyah Guitar Duo continues to engage audiences and explore new possibilities in classical guitar performance.
