The chamber music ensemble Trianima consists of three musicians, Isabel Goller (harp), Johanna Gossner (clarinet) and Marilies Guschlbauer (cello), who met in Vienna.
With their unusual combination of clarinet, harp and cello, the musicians aim to bring new and exciting literature to the chamber music stage. Johanna Gossner, the ensemble’s clarinettist, contributes significantly to Trianima’s uniqueness with her own arrangements. She manages to adapt works for this special combination of instruments, giving the ensemble a distinctive repertoire.
The name ‘Trianima’ reflects the essence of the ensemble. It is derived from the musical term ‘con anima’, which means ‘with soul’, and is combined with ‘tri’ for the three musicians. This name symbolises the passionate and soulful music-making of the three artists, who want to deeply touch their listeners with their music.
