New Orleans–Paris: a musical journey through the eras and places of jazz

The Stomp Dixie Band invites the audience on a fascinating musical journey through the eras and places of early jazz. An imaginary journey from the roots of Dixieland between New Orleans and Paris, a melting pot of peoples – European emigrants, African Americans, French Creoles – a blend of cultures and traditions that gave rise to an ‘explosive’ music: from the origins of Dixieland through Jazz Manouche to the dawn of the Swing era, when people danced to jazz.
