Horn


Michael Pescolderung is horn professor at the conservatory in Feldkirch/Vorarlberg in Austria. In 2009 he was appointed second horn at the Kärntner Sinfonieorchester in Klagenfurt.
He studied horn at the conservatory „Claudio Monteverdi“ in Bolzano with Prof. Carmelo Giacometti and at the Musikhochschule Nürnberg with Prof. Hansjörg Angerer. He has performed with a number of orchestras, including the Theater of Ideas orchestra in Toronto, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano, the Orchestre de Cannes and the Latvian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
As a soloist he played with the Neues Symphonieorchester Berlin and on many music festivals pieces by Mozart, Rosetti, Telemann e Saint-Saëns. He also regularly performs with chamber music ensembles like the Hornquartet „Ladinia“, the österreichischen Bläsersolisten with Milan Turkovic, the Ensemble Prometeo and Windkraft Tirol.
He loves playing natural and baroque horn in different ensembles. With „Il Pomo d‘oro“ he recorded albums for Deutsche Grammophon and Warner Classics.
