The Swiss soprano Nora Bertogg sung at the Lucerne Theatre in the 22/23 season in the production STYX Tours - A Rendezvous with Death, a co-production with Lucerne Festival. She was also engaged in the Swiss premiere of Pascal Dusapin's opera Perelà as a parrot, as well as in the music theatre Klangtauchen. At the Theater Biel/Solothurn Nora Bertogg sang La Ciesca in Gianni Schicci, the Liftgirl in La notte di un nevrastenico and Miss Pinkerton in Menotti's The old maid and the thief. Furthermore, she was heard at the Davos Festival 2016 in the opera The Swiss Family. One of the singer's special interests is the interpretation of contemporary works. This led to the solo voice evening YESS I SAID I SAID YESS. Other solo performances include the KlangART Vision Festival in Germany, with Orchestrina Chur with Bach's Stabat Mater, the Bachverein Chur, Opera Viva and at the Rüttihubelbad in Bern. Nora Bertogg devotes herself time and again to lieder singing. In 2023 she will perform with the renowned guitarist Christoph Denoth and in a Lied duo with the harpist Isabel Goller, among others. Nora Bertogg is a laureate of the 7th John Cage Award Halberstadt, a scholarship holder of the Rahn Kulturfonds and the Thyll Stiftung. In 2017, she was also awarded a cultural promotion prize by the canton of Graubünden. She completed her studies at the Zurich University of the Arts and at the Bern University of the Arts in the Swiss Opera Studio. In the summer of 2022, she also completed the Master of Arts Musicpedagogy with Sarah Maria Sun and Sandra Trattnigg at the Lucerne University of Music with distinction.
